HISTORY

Back in 2008, William and Cora Powell donated land for a Park to be built in Blounts Creek, NC and later the Park was named The William and Cora Powell Park (C.O.S.T.)

Mr. Powell served as Sunday school superintendent of the Washington & Norfolk District Assembly. He loved teaching and was a man of much wisdom, and was surely a bible scholar.

​

Mrs. Powell had a deep compassion for kids and taught Pre-school for 40+ years at Beaufort County Elementary School and Snowden Elementary in Aurora, NC. She dedicated her life to her students, Family and Church.​

​They both were loving and giving people.
